After more than two years of pandemic induced absence, Venturefest South is finally back and in person on 21st October, at the Ageas Bowl Southampton. As the south’s premiere innovation event it promises a packed agenda of exhibits, talks and pitching. So, what can we expect?

Innovation Zone

The innovation zone provides a space for the regions leading start-ups, innovators and entrepreneurs to showcase their business and technology. This year we can expect innovations covering a broad range of applications from healthcare and energy to internet of things and jetpacks. Check here for a full list of exhibitors.

Innovation Talks

This year’s talks will cover: How the creative industries are driving innovation in the south with presentations from exponents in the region. Entrepreneurs and funding bodies will discuss: The changing face of innovation funding and leading figures in sustainability will explore why it is the: The biggest innovation opportunity in 100 years. Check here for more details and speaker profiles.

Collaboration Zone

The collaboration zone is an opportunity to meet and network with the people behind Venturefest South. Venturefest South is backed by partner businesses, organisations, universities and local authorities from across the south so, this is a great place to connect with them. Check here for the full list of partners and collaborators that make the event possible.

Open Mic

This is your chance to put your venture on the map! Start-ups and entrepreneurs are given the floor and a mic to make a pitch for their business. Whether you’re looking for investment, help or just awareness this is a great opportunity to get noticed. You never know who is listening so, make it a good one.

Virtual Zone

For those that can’t make it on the day the virtual zone is a great way to still be part of the day. The innovation talks can be accessed through this zone as well as workshops, opportunities, funding, innovator pitches and special messages from our partners and sponsors. Check here for more details.

All in all, the return of Venturefest South promises to be a great day and a chance to meet and connect once again after many months of lockdown. It just remains to say how you can be there, check here for full details and here to get your ticket. Personally, I will be in the Collaboration Zone with Basingstoke #GETLAUNCHED and judging the Open Mic sessions so I look forward to seeing everyone on the 21st of October. Let’s make Venturefest South the springboard for us all to get going again and build for the future.
